This Privacy Policy explains how NDLab ("we", "us", "our") handles information across this website and every app, game, and service we publish. We are a one-person software studio based in Tokyo, Japan, and our guiding principle is to collect as little as possible and keep what we collect anonymous whenever we can.
Information we collect
Information you provide
When you contact us through the website form, by email, or through an app's support flow, we receive whatever you choose to send — typically your message and, if you choose to share it, your name and email address. We use this only to reply to you.
Information collected automatically
Our apps and website may collect limited, anonymized usage information so we can prioritize improvements and diagnose problems:
- App screens visited and features used
- Crash reports and diagnostic information
- Device type, operating system version, and app or browser version
- General region at country level only
Information we do not collect
We do not collect your real name, contact details, browsing history, the contents of pages you visit, or any payment or financial information — beyond what you voluntarily send us in a message.
How we use information
- To operate, maintain, and improve our apps and services
- To investigate crashes and fix bugs
- To respond to support requests and questions
- To comply with legal obligations when required
In-app purchases
Premium features, subscriptions, and one-time purchases inside our apps are processed entirely by the relevant platform — Apple via the App Store, or Google via Google Play. We never receive or store your payment information. Refund requests for in-app purchases are handled by the platform that processed the transaction.
Third-party services
To run our apps and website we rely on a small set of trusted providers. Individual products may use a subset of these:
- Apple — app distribution, in-app payments, push notifications. See Apple's Privacy Policy .
- Google — Google Play distribution, Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics for anonymized usage analytics and crash reporting. See Google's Privacy Policy .
- Hosting and CDN providers — used to serve this website and deliver app assets. These providers may automatically log standard request information such as IP address and user agent for security and reliability purposes.
Data sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone. We do not share it with advertisers. We only disclose information when required by law, when responding to a valid legal request, or when necessary to protect the rights and safety of our users.
Data retention
We keep information only as long as we need it:
- Aggregated analytics: up to 14 months (Firebase default retention)
- Crash reports: up to 90 days
- Messages you send us: retained only as long as needed to respond and keep a reasonable conversation history, then deleted on request
Data security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No system on the internet is perfectly secure, however, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International transfers
NDLab operates from Tokyo, Japan. The third-party providers we rely on (Apple, Google, hosting providers) may process data in other countries. By using our apps and services, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have specific rights over the information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the email below — we will respond within a reasonable time.
European Economic Area and United Kingdom (GDPR)
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, or port your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
California, USA (CCPA / CPRA)
You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to delete it, to correct inaccuracies, and to opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of your information. NDLab does not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Japan (APPI)
You have the right to request disclosure, correction, addition, or deletion of your retained personal data, as well as suspension of its use or provision to third parties.
Children's privacy
Our apps and services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time as our apps, services, or legal obligations change. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be highlighted on the website or inside the relevant app.
