Terms of Use
Last updated: May 2026
Welcome to Video Cast ("VideoCast", "the App", "we", "us", "our"). VideoCast is a mobile web browser for iOS that lets you cast web videos, web audio, and selected local media from your device to Chromecast-enabled TVs and speakers on your local Wi-Fi network. By downloading, installing, or using VideoCast, you ("you", "the user") agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please stop using the App and delete it from your device.
1. About the App
VideoCast is published by NDLab. The App is distributed exclusively through the Apple App Store and is intended for personal, non-commercial use on iOS devices that support the deployment target listed on the App Store page.
Core features include:
- A built-in web browser with multiple tabs, bookmarks, and history.
- Casting of compatible web video and audio streams to Chromecast-enabled receivers.
- Casting of user-selected local photos and videos from the iOS Photo Library or Files.
- An optional ad blocker that filters network requests inside the in-app browser.
- An optional Premium upgrade that removes in-app advertising.
2. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use VideoCast on iOS devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and the Apple Standard EULA.
You may not:
- copy, modify, reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App;
- extract, mirror, or republish the App's source code, assets, or APIs;
- create derivative works based on the App;
- rent, lease, sublicense, or sell the App or your license to it;
- remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices.
All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by NDLab. The App, its name, logo, design, and all related intellectual property remain our property.
3. Network Requirements and Casting
Most VideoCast features require an active internet connection. Casting also requires that your iOS device and your Chromecast-enabled receiver be connected to the same Wi-Fi network. We do not control your network, your router, your receiver, or the websites you visit, and we cannot guarantee that any specific stream, codec, DRM-protected content, or third-party website will play, cast, or behave correctly.
4. Web Browsing and User Responsibility
VideoCast is a general-purpose web browser. The websites you load, and any content played from those websites, are produced and controlled by third parties. You are solely responsible for:
- the URLs you visit and the content you choose to view, cast, or download;
- complying with the terms of service of every website and streaming service you use through the App;
- respecting the copyright, licensing, and broadcast rules that apply to that content;
- ensuring that minors using your device are supervised and that iOS Screen Time / Content Restrictions are configured appropriately.
VideoCast does not host, mirror, transcode, or store third-party media. We do not endorse, verify, or take responsibility for any third-party website, advertisement, or media stream loaded inside the App.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use VideoCast to:
- violate any law, regulation, court order, or legally binding administrative measure;
- infringe or circumvent another party's intellectual property, privacy, or publicity rights;
- access, cast, or distribute content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit involving minors, or that promotes violence, self-harm, or discrimination;
- bypass technical protection measures or DRM on third-party services;
- interfere with, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App, our servers, our advertising partners, or any other system;
- use the App in any way that could disable, overburden, damage, or impair it.
If you encounter content on the open web that you believe violates the law, please report it directly to the website that hosts it and to your local authorities. VideoCast is a browser; it does not host the content you view.
6. Local Data
Bookmarks, browser history, tab state, the cast-history list, and your in-app preferences (homepage, ad-blocking level, user agent, etc.) are stored locally on your device only and are intended for your personal use. You agree not to publish or share that data outside of the App.
7. Premium Subscription / In-App Purchase
VideoCast offers an optional Premium upgrade as an in-app purchase processed by Apple. Premium removes in-app advertising (banner ads in the browser and full-screen ads when starting a cast) and unlocks additional convenience features.
- The Premium price is shown in the App at the time of purchase and is charged through your Apple ID.
- Apple's standard refund and billing policies apply; refund requests must be submitted to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- You can restore a previous Premium purchase on a new device by tapping "Restore Purchase" on the paywall or the Settings → Premium screen, while signed in to the same Apple ID used for the original purchase.
- Premium does not block ads on the underlying websites you visit. Web-side ads are governed by the policies of those websites, not by VideoCast.
8. Advertising
The free version of VideoCast displays advertising provided by Google AdMob and other third-party ad networks. By default, the App may use App Tracking Transparency (ATT) to ask whether ads can use your Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA). You can change this choice at any time in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Denying tracking does not remove ads; it limits ad personalization.
For users in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland, VideoCast presents a Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent form before serving personalized ads. You can revisit your consent in Settings → Privacy.
9. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in the VideoCast Privacy Policy. By using the App you agree to that policy. The Privacy Policy explains what we collect, who our analytics and advertising partners are (including Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Google AdMob, and SKAdNetwork attribution), and how to exercise your privacy rights.
10. Changes to the App and the Terms
We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue VideoCast or any of its features at any time, with or without notice. We may also revise these Terms from time to time; the revised version applies as soon as it is published in the App or on our website. Continuing to use the App after a change constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that any specific website, stream, or third-party device will work with the App, or that the App will be free of bugs, ads you find objectionable, or compatibility issues with future iOS versions.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NDLab and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of (or inability to use) the App, including but not limited to issues with third-party websites, streams, advertisements, networks, or Cast receivers.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless NDLab and its officers, employees, and partners from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, made by any third party arising out of your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the App, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
14. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing to provide the App becomes commercially impractical. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (license restrictions, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, governing law) will survive.
15. App Store Terms
If you obtained the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and NDLab, not Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. To the extent required by Apple, Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country of your Apple ID account, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles, and disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless local consumer-protection laws require otherwise.
